Guest Elkslayer54
This was dissapionting for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the big buck action like always. BUT THERE WAS NO BOW CONTEST, ONE OF THE BEST PARTS OF THE VIDEO. GETTING TO KNOW THE BOYS AND GIRLS OF REALTREE. AND SEEING THE HAZING OF MICHALE BILL AND DAVID, I WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE LONGER HUNTS, I WANT THE BOW CONTEST BACK. OTHER THAN THAT THE DVD'S WERE GREAT. I WILL GIVE THEM ONE MORE CHANCE, BUT IF THE BOW CONTEST IS NOT BACK NEXT YEAR THEY WILL HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER.
IowaDeerHunter
Re: Monster Bucks XIV To be honest I have not bought the monster bucks series for a few years. reason being with news dvd like roadtrips and getting close (season dvd;s not jst hunts) i like them a lot better, where they go more in depth instead of showingjust 20+ hunts on a video. But before these realtree MB was def. THE BEST on the market.
okbowman
Re: Monster Bucks XIV I missed the Bow Contest too!! It was definitely lacking something this year!! Hopefully it'll be back next year, or something like it!!
TxStarr
Re: Monster Bucks XIV Thank goodness!! I was beginning to think I was the only one who was unhappy because they did not have the 3d shooting contests!!! Hubby said he did not care one way or the other (was just in it for the deer!) but I really missed the competition and had decided to not buy the next year's because of this. Bownarow
Re: Monster Bucks XIV This is great information. I hadn't bought this years yet, and now I won't. I always enjoyed the bow contest as well. Know I won't waste my cash.

Chrud
Re: Monster Bucks XIV People said they wanted more and longer hunts. I would guess they got rid of the contest to compensate for it. I would rather see 10 to 12 hunts shown more like they are on Realtree Outdoors or Road Trips with more video of scouting, hanging stands, the fun at camp, etc. And the bow shoot-out. unioncountyslayer
Re: Monster Bucks XIV First no more T-Bone and Foxworthy, now this! What a dissapointment. Thanks for the heads up, I'll just watch the hunts on the Outdoor channel.
Guest PixelDoctor
Re: Monster Bucks XIV Just bought the last three vids... Wow what a waste, need to have a story behind the video, not just a bunch of hunts back to back, and they did not really teach me anything, hard to keep tuned in... Probabally put them on ebay... BowJoe
Re: Monster Bucks XIV I've chimed in on this before but here goes again. I agree with all of the comments. One thing about Realtree DVD's is they always had background stories and they were entertaining. Without the entertainment you have just another video. I know the RT guys read this whether they post or not and as well they should. These are honest oppinions of their product and from people who are dedicated fans as well. The videos are an intrical part of the products Realtree produces. I'm not looking for preachy but I also want to know why they hung the stand where and when and what the area looks like. Not just "over the shoulder, shoot, pose and go home"! In other words, Talk To Us. One of the great things about the Archery tournaments before MB XIII was the conversations sounded like when I would go shoot with my buddies. We cut up and chew the fat and have a great time. hunterfisherman
Re: Monster Bucks XIV I would agree. The story line needs to be there. Roadtrips and Gett'n close are my two favorite shows right now. The are funny and come accross very real. Hopefully this is just a new avenue they are trying and we'll see the old style back soon. rcd567
Re: Monster Bucks XIV I won't buy the next set if they don't put the Archery tourney back in. The reason I like Roadtrips so much is the "personality" factor. This years DVD's were like any other I can get. See deer, see deer drop, repeat. I'm sorry but this is DULL. Bill you listening?????? Turkeygirl
Re: Monster Bucks XIV I thought 14 was good but what I've noticed is on just about every hunt, when the hunter walks up to the deer, you can see that the blood has been wiped off the entry/exit hole - hair is matted down and clean. Now I know maybe this is because we want to show non-hunters we aren't a bunch of bloodthirsty whatevers, but it is hunting, there will be blood! i just think wiping the blood off kind of takes away from the actual hunt. why not show the guy shooting the deer, climbing down and recovering his deer, instead of going to get it and get it all pretty first? Just my 2 cents.
