Re: Stay off long flights! (Bombing plot)

I think that they should eliminate any and all carry on baggage PERIOD.

That will prevent anyone from carrying anything on that could be used for a bomb.

There was a lady from the Wallstreet journal that witnessed what was thought to be a test run for multiple people carrrying on single pieces of bombs and then going to the same bathroom one after another to assemble it. Supposedly was some middle eastern band, but I think it was so suspicious that it couldn't be anything but something sinister.

Here's the link:

Yet we slumber in our stupidity again.....a nation bent on lashing out against a President because their political party of choice is out of power. A nation bent on telling the world how bad our soldiers are. A nation full of the media that accuses America and Americans first and apologizes for the terrorists as being misunderstood.

I think, in the end, this will be the big one that didn't get completed by Al Qaeda. But because it didn't happen and there wasn't massive loss of life, the liberal media will just dismiss it and we won't hear of it again for a long time.

Remeber when you go to the polls in November, there is one party out there taking the fight to the terrorists. There is another party out there doing everything they can to make our country less secure because it is politically expedient and they think it will get them votes (i.e. accusing marines of murder, hamstringing surveillance efforts, lying and saying that terrorist surveillance programs were spying on average Americans and every American, and outting spy programs used to keep up safe because they think the American public would be outraged and it would get them votes).

Been all over the news and on the radio. Was pretty stupid in my opinion though for the guy from the ntsb who was giving the news conference to tell the terrorists that they will let baby's milk or formula and meds go as the only liquids. That was kind of like giving the terrorists the idea of using a baby and a bottle in their bombs frown.gifmad.gif

They clarified that only DRY formula would be allowed and that they could mix it on the plane. crazy.gif

What surprises me is that these terrorists keep trying to use airlines. I figured they would go for something different like trains, boats, water supply etc. confused.gif

Airplanes are extremely vital to our economy. Blow up one airplane via some undetectable liquid and you would kill our economy. No or very limited business travel, little or no pleasure travel, lost airline and associated jobs, death to communities surrounding airports, etc. All the terrorists have to do is down one airliner with a shoulder fired missile or via this mystery explosive liquid and we are a nation in trouble.

Further, doing so would cut off a vital convenience we Americans enjoy...being able to get in a tube and get off elsewhere in just a couple hours. That involkes terror and anger.

Not what I heard this morning Andrea. Apparently if an air traveler has a baby with them they will allow, but they will inspect formula or breast milk. Heard someone(may have been on the radio) also mention that they will ask that ther person drink it in front of an inspector, but these nuts are alreaady planning to die. They are probably crazy enough to drink a little of what they are planning to use for a bomb. Also on the news this morning was said that liquid meds would be allowed too. Really is a shame it has come to this, but bet they are going to try this again, maybe not real soon, but think they will try again.

Guess what else they showed on the news this morning! They suspect that at least 5 more terrorists may have gotten away.

Also, they showed people getting on board flights in Chicago's O'Hare airports with water bottles and drinks and whatnot. Apparently security isn't that tight there.................go figure.
