lil hunter
Re: labradoodles No offense, but I think they are the absolute UGLIEST things in the world. Labs and Poodles just aren't ment for each other.
Jeramie
Re: labradoodles Yep, my wife manages a vet clinic. One of her Tech's raises them. She is selling them as fast as she can have them. They're a pretty hot item right now. Breeders are mixing poodles with several breeds. jerdanmagic
Re: labradoodles standard poodles were origally water and sporting dogs, not to mention they are incredably smart. I'll get some pics up soon

too_pointer
Re: labradoodles WOW, can't wait to see some pics I saw a yellow lab in a car alittle back and discovered his legs were so short !!! The rest of his body seemed normal. I don't know if your mix will turn out like that but I found it pretty amusing LOL. too_pointer

IowaDeerHunter
Re: labradoodles Well one time I mixed a bulldog and a shitzu and well you know...LOL. If they can do that then they should be able to do a weinerdog with a great dane or wolfhound. LOL. sorry I had to say it!
dartonman
Re: labradoodles This breed?? is going nuts in my area...here is why...you get the gentle nature and hunting ability from both breeds, and the dogs are allergy free because of the breeding.....people that couldnt have a dog before have no side effects with this breed....and they dont shed, are hearty dogs that can withstand Illinois weather, but I feel some yuppy started this deal, and is laughing all the way to the bank...al
HuntingInMaine
Re: labradoodles I guess I have a hard time getting past the poodle owner stereotype! Does this mean you have a hunting dog that wears pretty bows? LOL
jerdanmagic
Re: labradoodles Make all the jokes you want, but soon you will realize how wrong you are. Try researching the breed before you make your wise a** comments, and you'll find out what a great dog they really are.
Palssonater
Re: labradoodles HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. THat last comment was some funny stuff. My dog Blue is a Labrashepmutt! He does just fine man! Don't need blood lines, just instincts and good training. His first year he has been trained fully for directional, blind, flush and hunt. With over 100 birds to his name already at 12 months, I can't wait till next year! (yes I am darn proud!) I would be very interested in a Labradoodle. Maybe they are less succeptible to hip displacia(sp?). And the fact that I have mild allergies would weigh in on my decision. Do you know any more about these dogs dogdoc? jerdanmagic
Re: labradoodles My labradoodles parents are both reg. with AKC. The Mother (White Standard Poodle) has an outstanding pedigree and the Sire (Choc. LAb) comes from a long line of Field Trial Champs. Add those up with a non-shedding, no dander producing water dog, and see what cha get!
fisherguy
Re: labradoodles I am not knocking the breed just saying i think they are kinda funny looking. I know nothin about them, but i did a search and saw a bunch of pictures. they may be a great hunting dog, and to each his own, as long as you like it that is what matters. elkoholic
Re: labradoodles Couple of questions here. First, is the picture in this post a labradoodle? If the parents are AKC registered but different breeds can the pups be registered? With the long hair, how do these dogs handle hot weather? As far as the hunting aspect of it, it sounds like a good combo.
