Bownarow
Do those of you that shoot the Muzzy like it? I currently shoot a WB and am thinking about going to the drop away to further tighten my arrow groups. I like to shoot some 3D hunts and feel the WB puts me at a slight disadvantage. iabow
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect I switched from the WB to the Muzzy a couple years ago. I relly like the Muzzy but didn't see a great improvement in my shooting. I think that's based on your form more then anything.
mo_hunter
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect I've had a muzzy on 2 different mathews bows a fx and lx and loved the zero effect. When I bought my trykon never could get fletching clearance. A friend of mine bought a trykon xl and had the same problem. Yes, it was the right zero effect for the trykon / trykon xl the 600pc model. I'm shooting a trophy taker pronghorn and couldn't be happier. NYBUCK
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect I had it on my last Mathews SQ2 and now on my current Mathews Outback. Absolutely love it, trouble free.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect i had one on my SQ2 and now have one on my Switchback....great rest...would recommend it to anyone....if you watch the video they are very easy to install and easy to tune! Leo
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect The MZE rest is a great rest, if it's put on right. A seemingly insignificant Boo-Boo like crossing the cables above instead of below the rest, makes quite a difference. The instructions actually tell you whether they should cross above or below for your SPECIFIC bow. So make sure you read that. Lots of shop "pros" miss that detail. Making certain they cross in the same area before the rest was installed is no guarantee it's right. I'm sold on the MZE. I have a whisker biscuit on my other bow. And I certainly feel the MZE is a better rest.
Tony
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect i shot a MZE and sorry it came right off of the bow as fast as it went on. for the money you can by the best drop away there is, a Trophy Taker . its more reliable and easier to tune, simple to set up and easy to maintain. theres no crazy linkage or other stuff. to get things caught in. sorry to those guys that like it, it just wasnt for me. 257bob
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect I have not used the rest, but from what I have seen would agree with Tony. I shoot a RipCord and have shot the Wisker Biscuit. I shot just as well if not better with the WB. Might go back some day.
double_H
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect i have on one my switchback and one on my dad's outback-both great. although, on roller cable guard bows, when the cable clamp moves it can touch your bow arm. i can see how this might annoy some shooters. I still love them. the new next generation model is easily cleared by the mathews quiver. my buddy had a rip-cord rest and it failed more than once due to a spring problem-cost him one night's hunt. he has a trophy-ridge drop zone now and loves it. mule659
Re: Muzzy Zero-Effect I had one and liked the way it shot but it caused me to have problems geting clearance for my arrows when mounting my quiver I use. Now I shoot and NAP smart rest and it is awesome. To all you muzzy guys no offense it shot great but just not built right for me.
