[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I recently received a PM....not from anybody that replied...about how I am mocking those that will never see a buck like this and how my title of this topic could be condescending towards others..... If this is the case, I apologize.......I know most of you know that I was simply joking with the title, just to peak some curiosity to boot.......it's a no brainer it's a shooter.....a once in a lifetime buck.....once in many lifetimes in my book.......I never in my life ever anticipated seeing a buck even close to this caliber, and even if I never get a crack at him, I feel more than blessed to have caught him on film.......... Nobody appreciates God's creations such as this, more than I do..........thanks for all the kind responses, and I'll keep you posted if I get any more pics of him......and I promise to start setting those date stamps....LOL [/ QUOTE ] Once again just like SRA, guy can't even have a little joke or fun without someone complain. iminrut, that is an awesome buck!!! There just jealous! [/ QUOTE ] i second that. Heck look at that deer who wouldn't be jealous! Cant wait to see more pics of him

TreeWalker
Re: NEED ADVICE......is this a shooter ?? The only reason I posted them is because they are night time shots......I've got several daytime shots of him too....and there is no way on God's green earth that I was gonna post them....to much visable information..... .......plus there are several other boards I frequent, that i didn't even post this on, just because........ Plus anybody that knows me, knows they are gonna have to cover alot of ground if they are gonna follow me around......my two furthest hunting locations are nearly 100 miles apart..... It's not a big deal though........I've got more to worry about, than if somebody runs across these pics.......but i won't be handing them out around home, LOL

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: NEED ADVICE......is this a shooter ?? If you've been watching that deer for 3 years, there's a good chance he's been watching you too. No telling how many times he's seen or smelled you without you ever knowing he was anywhere around. You better plan on being real sneaky when it comes time to deliver the goods! Best of luck, that's a great trophy and it's always twice as good when you can hunt and take a particular animal. [/ QUOTE ] That's what seperates us from deer....we play on their home turf.....the always have the advantage.....the big difference this year, is I'm going to be hunting him Sept/ 1st, instead of waiting till the first weekend in November...... Sure I ran the chance of him seeing me when I put my stand in.......but it's a chance not only am i willing to take, but have to take....... As far as this year, I've been using my nikon spotter and watching from nearly a mile off.......the cams come out of there tomorrow morning, and I will let everything settle down for the last three weeks, till the opener..........I'm trying to not take any chances.......but sometimes you have to take one or two....... TreeWalker
Re: NEED ADVICE......is this a shooter ?? FYI.......it is getting to close to our opener, so in the interest of protecting my interests, I have deleted these pics..........I have posted a few more in a new thread, but I will be deleting those also in a few days........I hope I don't seem to much like a party pooper......I love sharing pics with you all, I'm just accustomed to them being of a buck of this caliber..........with God willing, the next ones I will have, will be with my hands around his antlers..... Thanks for all of the wonderful comments......it really is the buck that deserves the admiration, and God the credit.....
