God is leading me elsewhere....

Well God hasdone some work in my life this week. i'm a little bummed but I know I have to trust him. About 1.5 weeks ago I sent in an application to another college because I wanted to get in an Athletic Training program. I've been waiting and last night got a call from admissions and this lady asked me to call her back (I was online) So I call her back and told me she had talked with the head trainer and they though that the best option would be I should go elsewhere and get a Master's instead of another B.S. Also if I did their B.S. program, they were afraid I was really going to be in-debt and after 1 year, I might be "financially hurt" (that is what she said). So I talked to my mom, in tears, and said this isn't going to work out. As much as I like athletic training, I felt this isn't what God wants. Before my internship at the DEC camp, I was gun-ho for athletic training, but after camp, I felt deep inside that maybe I should be working in something outdoors related; that this is really what God wants. Some of the experiences I had working with the campers really hit a chord. So I called the lady back and told her to withdraw the application. I feel relieved somewhat in that I will start repaying back loans, but I will have some extra money and not be worrying about more loans. I also feel in my heart that this is the choice God wanted me to make. Maybe I'm not suppose to do athletic training yet, or ever, but right now He wants me in the outdoors. It's a little bumming but I know in my heart, this is His will. And now, since I don't have to figure out money so much, I may be able to get a decent bow for this season instead of next grin.gif

My plans right now, well I will be able to work custodial for 8 hours a day the first week of classes, then well, I'll be seeing if I can either find a job, or some type of online degree (Master's) in outdoor something (I saw it somewhere) or maybe go to a nearby cheap state college in the spring for something outdoor related to further my backround. Either way, God is showing His control right now and I'm just going to try to go with it. wink.gif
