IllinoisArcher Posted August 14, 2006 Report Share Posted August 14, 2006 I was goin out to check my trail cam on the edge of a cornfield and all i saw was a doe jump out of the cornfield and into the woods and i heard a huge bang...yep it ran straight into a tree i saw it laying there but didnt go up to it cause i thought it mite still be alive im gonna check on it tomorrow and this was at 1 pm today in 89 degree temps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My buddy and I were catfishing at a pond near a highway and I walked around the side of the pond and a buck jumped up..Now normally deer run away from you but for some reason he ran at me and past me at about ten yards and you guessed it right out into the road and wham...a car got him...Didn't kill him and he made it about 250 yards out into a corn field on the other side of the road. My buddy and I ran out and slit his throat and then dressed him. He was hanging in the tree before the cop got there. I did learn that you aren't sopposed to touch the animal until the police get there and he informed us that he could write a ticket to us for disposing of the deer, but he didn't and let us keep him....Crazy story though....
