elkoholic
Just curious, but, for all who voted that you are dog owners, are your dogs licensed and are they current with their shots? I do not own a dog, but my daughter has two and they are both licensed, up to date on their shots and get regular visits to their DVM. How about your dogs? buckee
Re: dog owner post Our dog is an indoor dog, 17 years old, great health for his age, so the vet says and as far as his shots go, he's only had his puppy shots.
dogdoc
Re: dog owner post no--my dogs aren't licensed and don't have shots---can you give me the name of a good vet. the ones here in OKC aren't worth a darn On a serious note--we don't have to license them in OKC. todd
Tominator
Re: dog owner post i sold my dog about 2 years ago to Nut. last i heard, Jake's put on some weight, but doing well. i always kept him up to date at the vet. licenses were not required in my neck of the woods. dg
Re: dog owner post No license required that I know of. We keep her shots uptight. And we keep her in a big backyard fenced, not a pen. The wooden fence cost some bucks, but I can't stand to see a dog tied up all the time. It just ain't right.
Palssonater
Re: dog owner post [ QUOTE ] Our dog is an indoor dog, 17 years old, great health for his age, so the vet says and as far as his shots go, he's only had his puppy shots. [/ QUOTE ] I guess BC is good for ALL SENIORS....no matter what the species! Blue's got shots cause there are skunks and coons around, but only have to license him if in town. We are on a farm. Its only like 15 bucks anyways....not a big deal if I had to.
RangerClay
Re: dog owner post Absolutely! She gets regular check-ups every year. As a responsible owner I owe her that! Ranger
huntn4bucks
Re: dog owner post I only have one dog (a black lab) and I keep all of her shots up-to-date. Licensing is not required here.
NYBUCK
Re: dog owner post Yes licensed and up to date on shots. It helps that my brother is a vet.
Jeramie
Re: dog owner post No license at home either. In fact I cant think of one place around here you have to have a licensee. My wife manages a vet clinic so yep, they are up to date on every possible thing. They even get "Top Spot" regularly. On that note, our horses and all of her cats are fully vaccinated/ treated as well.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: dog owner post We have (2) boxers, let me tell you this, they can wear you out. A couple of real characters!!! Both are licensed and go to the vets regularly. My wife shows both of them in the dog show world. High dollar pooches, she even got pet insurance for them! Sounds crazy but we have had some incidents and some costly bills before the insurance. They are fun though even after all the costs!!
