Guest dmitchell28
Re: brodheads i havent been bow hunting but a few years, but i used a mechanical broadhead made my trophy ridge or something like that. i know they are hard to find, they are 100g and have a lil rubber band. But man they cut a massive hole, that ever deer i have shot, honestly never went no farther than 35 yards, its crazy but true, but part of that was good/lucky shot placement. I have the spitfires now, but havent shot anything with them YET

123 4/8 P&Y
Re: brodheads Buy one kind and try it. If you don't like how it flies, then you can try and tune your bow so it flies better. Or you can buy another brand and try them instead. The mechanicals will always fly dependably. If you have a light set-up (by this I mean low poundage and short, light arrows) I would stay away from mechanicals. You might lose penetration when they open. If you want penetration, go out and buy some cut on contact heads. Good luck.
