Guest ILclimber
Hey guys, just curious to see how many of you guys have shot this gun, or have kept buying remingtons because of this gun! I have shot a Remington 870 for almost ten years now and I just can't bring myself to shoot something new.
Guest Xen
Re: Remington 870 it's a wonderful gun. i do like the 11-87/1100 as well. i've known many people that shoot them very well, even in competition skeet.
Tominator
Re: Remington 870 I have 2. My dad's 16 gauge Wingmaster, and my 12 ga. Express.
AJ
Re: Remington 870 I currently have 3 of them and have owned 2 others. The only reason they are gone is they were stolen. The 870 is the second best pump gun ever made, next to the Model 12. I have owned Mossberg, Browning, and Marlin pump guns. The Rem 870 is a sweet classic gun that will keep on going and going and going....

Mach1
Re: Remington 870 I've got 2 (12ga & 20ga) and my brother does as well. Awesome guns. I'd never buy a shotgun that isn't a Remington.

WABS
Re: Remington 870 I've got two (12 and 20), had a third but I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. The 12 gauge I use as my trap gun as well as my NASTY weather duck/goose gun. It has NEVER let me down. Refinished the stock and it is a one of a kind. Won't ever sell it. hunterfisherman
Re: Remington 870 I have two. One is newer and the other is 30 years old. The older one still works fine. It looks a bit ruff and I've had to do some up keep but it's still a good gun. That old one has shoot more deer, squirrell and rabbit than I can count. WaCoyote
Re: Remington 870 I grew up shooting 870's but when they made lead illegal for waterfowl I bought a Browning as back then it was the only thing available in 3 1/2" besides a mossy. I do believe the BPS is a better shotgun but I often take my old 870 out for pheasants or clays. It's light and easy to shoot and I always knock down the pheasants with it. The thing feel like it's part of me. Of course that happens when you shoot a shotgun for 24 years. I did buy my daughter a 20 ga. express and it's wholly different from a wingmaster but it'll do for now. She's only 13 and just shoots what I give her. I wonder what she'll choose when she gets older.

coles
Re: Remington 870 i have one that is a Delta Waterfowl edition that my uncle won at a banquet. have any of you had problems with it not coming open after you shoot it. i have to hit the butt on the ground pretty hard to make it come open. but maybe its because i have only shot it about 25 times. Mach1
Re: Remington 870 I've not had that problem, but I had a problem with mine kicking a shell up into the chamber when pumping it. Took it to the gunsmith and a very small weed seed had got in there causing it to not catch the shell. Got it fixed and no problems since. maddhunter
Re: Remington 870 My first shotgun was an 870 express 20ga which I gave to my younger brother when I bought my 870 express 12ga. And my son is now a proud owner of an 870 20ga youth model. Almost all my guns are Remingtons except for my Browning .308 and a 20ga that was my father-in-law's before he past away. Guest gwgdog66
Re: Remington 870 I have a 12 gage 870 Express, and an 11/87. I couldn't get used to the 11/87 after shooting the 870 for so many years. I was always trying to "Pump" the 11/87.
Swamphunter
Re: Remington 870 I have two, one for turkeys, ducks, geese and upland game, and another with a rifled barrel for deer in the southern part of NY State.
Guest rds
Re: Remington 870 I had an 870 and loved it, thing always worked. I love pumps anyway. 100's of law enforcement can't be wrong either, it's what most of them carry. I replaced mine with a Wincester 1200 which is also a great gun but the 870 is an icon. Guest Danbo
Re: Remington 870 My first gun was an Ithaca deerslayer in 16 gauge. Second was an 870. Love that gun. No problems. ever. Almost indestructable. Don't buy the hype - buy an 870 for life!
