Re: stabalizers?

Well here is my opinion.

Unless its real heavy or real long it will not help with accuracy.

The shorter rubberized ones we hunters use are more of vibration dampening then for stablization like those longer target styles.

I found my accuracy was the exact same with or without one but I plan to use the Simms S-coil for its vibration dampening.

You are exactly right. A longer, heavier stabilizer is definitely more accurate than a shorter lighter one and yes, the lighter rubber ones are made to reduce vibration and nothing else. IMO, everyone would benefit from a little heavier and longer stabilizer, and yes, they will kill vibration too

Well, I found the same exact thing to be true as well, HOWEVER, throw in a nice cross wind (not a little breeze) and a goofy angle in a treestand, and that all changes dramatically, especially on longer shots wink.gif

I've got an 8", 12 oz. Stealth Hunter stabilizer on my Switchback. It allows me to hold rock solid in any type of wind and the vibration killing factor is simply unreal. I have used Vibrachecks, Doinkers and even the coveted Sims Modular and NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING, has held a candle to what this Stealth stabilizer does for my bow.............
