Jeramie Posted August 15, 2006 Report Share Posted August 15, 2006 Im in the market for a new Acoustic amp. Im currently playing through a Solid State and it just doesnt sound good. The amp does fine with an electric but the acoustic isnt warm. Ive been looking at Crate Taos, Marshall, etc. Anyone have any suggestions? Im probably going to pick one up this weekend but I could always use some suggestions. Im currently playing for our church so I would probably need to be pushing 60watt +. A guy here at work has a Marshall, 100watt, with Celestians (sp) for $250 but ive never played through one. Ive played several electric rigs through Marshall but never an acoustic setup. Im going by to play it today. Ive been playing for roughly 15 years and ive always played electric. I started playing the acoustic at the church and our pastor has an awesome setup. Its almost studio quality. I sound like beating a tin pan. I really need a Warm thick tone. Im heading to Guitar Center with the Wife on saturday. Ill let eveyone know what I decided.... Hopefully I can talk her into a new acoustic too....
