slugshooter
While I am sitting here watching CNN talking about the flight diversion from London to Boston, they have a helicopter flying over the tarmac where baggage handlers are unloading baggage carts for the dogs to come by and sniff them. The reason I am never flying again is the way I see them treating luggage. They got one guy in the cart just tossing bags onto the pavement, weren't not talking lightly setting them down, I mean getting some oomph into it and letting them fly. Then someone comes buy and picks it up and he walks over and takes it to the staging area and just drops it. The alarming thing is that they are taking this stuff off looking for any type pf explosives etc. Do you really think the best thing to do with baggage that might possibly have explosives in it is to just toss it around like nothing. 257bob
Re: I\'m Never Flying Again My dad travels a lot in his job and he goes through several bags a year because of the way airlines handle it. Another reason you have to buy an SKB to travel with guns or bows.
Guest Andrea
Re: I\'m Never Flying Again At first they thought she may have had Vaseline and matches and was a possible terror threat but it boiled down to plain old claustrophobia. As far as those airline employees.......they aren't the brightest in the world. They will be the main reason another terror attack on a plane is allowed to occur the next time. I promise you that. slugshooter
Re: I\'m Never Flying Again That's what kills me. First reports said she had an note with a reference to Al Qaeda, a screwdriver, and vaseline. I'm thinking, how did all this get past security in London, which, as airport security goes, foreign countries are a lot better than that than US security. US security screeners couldn't care less because they don't like their job for some reason. Probably because they don't get paid much, but, you know what, I get paid just under 8 bucks an hour and I go to work everyday and do the best I can, because that's what I'm paid to do. ParrotHead
Re: I\'m Never Flying Again Well it's simple sluggo - just never take a bomb on a plane or get on a plane that has one and you won't have to worry about being diverted and having your American Tourister tossed around like a drunk midget and a biker party..... Bruce Schmeck
Re: I\'m Never Flying Again Ha, ha, ha! You didn't really think they handled stuff with kid gloves now did you? Realistically, I don't really think they could, because everone expects their baggage to be waiting for them as soon as they disembark and would be in the terminal throwing fits if it wasn't there. Don't worry, C-4 won't explode without a detonator. It won't go off from them throwing it around like that. Neither will vaseline.
