wtnhunt
Over the weekend think it was Sunday afternoon went to mow the yard, the mower died on me right after getting started. Then Monday morning, around 1:45 in the morning the power goes out, did not come back on until about 6:30. Our 5 year old wakes up middle of the night crying, no lights. Of course the baby wakes up, the wife and I got pretty well no sleep. The baby started coming down with a summer time cold Monday, I go to make her some cereal after getting back from taking the kids to school and a switch in the microwave shorts out, so I ended up not being able to use it to heat her cereal. Being sick the baby has been keeping us up quite a bit this week, but she is starting to get over the cold. Sometime in the midst I started coming down with the crud too now. I worked on the mower Tuesday afternoon, got it back to running, parked it back in the shed. Then yesterday went to go and mow, and it rolled but was not getting any spark, so I took all the wiring apart cleaned all the connections, still nothing, and the starter which had been dragging some for a while now is now sounding really bad, so I put the battery charger on it realizing it had gotten low and the started had gotten kind of hot and decided to take a break from it let the battery charge some and startert cool. So I fed the animals and came back to it. Go back to try and crank it and now the starter wont roll at all. Just clicking so I cannot even check for voltage at the ignition. Figure the starter has finally gone out and I am still not sure if the ignition is working. I come in coughing and sweating like crazy and the wife tells me maybe it is time to just get a new mower, but the yard is still not mowed, and I have a ton of other stuff to do over the weekend. Anyone else ever have those kind of weeks where you are about to the point you are afraid to even try to get into doing anything for fears of what is next

Exturkinator
Re: what a week Here's a two - step program to make you feel better: 1) Load shotgun or rifle (whichever is closest) 2) Shoot lawn mower

Really tempted to believe me. New starter for the good kohler motor on the wore out craftsman mower will run me $149. The wife told me to go buy the kubota I have been wanting, but not so sure I want to sink that much money into a mower, might just buy a finish mower for my mid size kubota for now.
