rifleman25
Re: Price check If it were me I'd ask about 400 dollars if it is still NIB. Maybe even a touch more. I have always been told a Remington action alone is worth 200-300 dollars. Let us know what you do and good luck.

Guest PAdeerdreamer
Re: Price check Yeah,I to have always heard that a BDL action even in a popular cal. like .06 is still at least $300.Figure $100 for the barrel and $100-$200 for the stock. AJ
Re: Price check The actions go for $300-$350 new. Barrels are $25-$35 for a 30-06 as they are best used for tomato stakes. The stock will bring anywhere from $50-$100 range. Used 700 30-06 guns are not exactly rare even in left handed. I assume it does not have a scope, new guns are going for the $500-$600 range now, your gun should be somewhere in the $350-$450 range. AJ
Re: Price check That will not add much if any value to the gun. It can make the gun more desirable, but nothing much added to the price. Check out some of the local gun shops and see what they are going for. Check out classifieds near you also.
bearcat
Re: Price check AJ, Is the quality of Remington barrels really that bad? I have always had great accuracy from my Model 700's. I know mass produced factory barrels can't compete with quality custom barrels. Look at Lilja's web site. They have a hawkeye bore scope video of one of their barrels vs. Remington factory barrel, big difference.
AJ
Re: Price check Yep. But its not just Rem pretty much any factory barrel has minimal value once its off of the gun. Hammer forged barrels are not equal (on average) to button rifled or cut rifled barrels.
