Bush gone! I just so happen to catch my neigbor coming up the road when I took the pic too. I think you can see why the bush needed to go.

The stump was a monster. Still can't believe I hacked that all the way out. I was prepared to just saw it off a couple inches below ground level, but decided to do the job right, even though it was 85 and humid as all get out.

Ground after some blade work and landscape rake. Gotta' go get some grass seed and straw, and I'll be done.

Here's a pic for Andrea and BowJoe looking north. The pine on the right never bothered me, but my wife had a hard time seeing around it for some reason, so I limbed it up.

confused.gifAre you sure that's a pine?? From where I'm sitting, that looks more to me like a spruce.

I have to dumb my posts down when talking about local flora and fauna Bruce. You are correct it is a Norway spruce I believe. Tom relates to "pine" easier though.

Trust me, I've tried with birds bugs and trees, but not much is getting through. I'm making some headway with trees that can support a tree stand and or suitable firewood, but there's a lot of work to be done. grin.gif
