TruGlo sights?

I've been looking at a new sight for my hopefulyl new bow, lol, and was looking at the TruGlo's. There was a 3 pin one at Gander Mountain that I can't remember the name of but it was nice and bright, something i'm looking for since my right eye isn't "perfect". Anyone have any recommendations? I think the TruGlo sight I was looking at is either the TruGlo Ultra Extreme or the Glo-Brite 3 pin?

Also, my old sight was 3 pin and my farthest shot ever was 20 yards, but I can hit 30 with my old bow. i'm assuming maybe a new bow could shoot farther but I'm wondering, is a 3 pin sight ok, or would a 5 pin be better? Thanks!

Re: TruGlo sights?

If your going to get a TruGlo sight, I suggest getting 2 (yellow and green) Tritium/fiberoptic pins too, for your 2 closest pins in low light.

I'm in the market for a site too, and I've settled on the 5 pin.

These are the TFO (pins I want (.029 Diameter). Both of them (green and yellow)

I have a savage pendulum sight, with the nighthawk Tritium pin and those tritium pins are awesome. They litterally glow in the dark. Perfect for that last 10 or 15 minutes of legal light, where most fiber optics fail.

Re: TruGlo sights?

I have the ultra extreme 3 pin... Never a problem out of it... Now for how many pins to use, that depends on the bow and your fps... if you're shooting 300 or more fps yeah you might can use 5 but other wise 3 is fine... i shoot around 265 fps and plan to set my 3 pins for 25 35 and 45 this year... last year i had them at 20 30 40
