buckee Posted August 19, 2006 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 Re: somebody please help me There are two ways of getting your own avatar uploaded to your profile. #1 You can now up-load your avatar right from your computer to your profile. 1- Click on "MY HOME" when in the forums 2- Scroll down and Click on "EDIT" (personal information, etc) 3- Scroll down to the box where you have 3 different choices on how to get your avatar and check the circle that says "Upload your avatar" Remember (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted) 4- then click on "Browse" 5- find the folder and picture you want to use on your computer when the screen pops up and click on it. 6- then go down and click on "Submit" your done Now go back in the forums and check one of your recent posts or make a new one to view the change. If you use the back button to go back to the forums, you will need to refresh the page to view any changes. It's important to keep your avatar small(80X80 pixels). If you need help downsizing a picture just ask. ------------------------------------------------------------ #2 Open up a free picture storing account at photobucket. You won't be sorry you did, and then upload pictures you have stored on your computer to there. (courtesy of Luke) Step ONE... Scroll to the top of the page and click on My Home Step TWO... In the next page that displays... scroll down to where it says Personal information, email, password, etc. and click on Edit Step THREE ... In the next page displayed you will see this... [image][/image] See where I highlighted the area in red ?? this is where you will paste the link of where you have your image hosted... Such as Photobucket...
