Here's a pic of my bow that a friend of mine saw me shoot from a treestand but never heard anything...he was 33 yds away(I used a rangefinder). Check all screws, modules, and accessories to make sure they are tight. If you are shooting a fall-away rest, make sure it isn't slamming down on the shelf. You can hit the riser with the palm of your hand and listen for vibrations. This will help you pin-point anything that is loose on your bow. I have not shot one myself but heard good things about it. Slap some simms stuff on it and I bet the problem will be solved. Most importantly...enjoy your new bow. I had a Trap Door that had an internal problem and it gave the bow a loud sound. Montana Black Gold fixed it free but I scratched my head for some time do to the noise. You could start with your sight, a lot of buzzes come from a loose pin guard. Light arrows will definently make your bow loud. Are you shooting an overdraw ?? Do you how much your arrow and broadhead weighs ? Under weight arrows are seriously noisy. Light arrows are also hard on your bow limbs, too light and it`s like your dry firing on every shot. I just have field tips right now and they are 100 gr. I have carbon fury arrows by redhead. My arrows are about 299.6 grains. I don't know if that is light or not. I bought the bow at Bass Pro a few weeks ago and the Fred Bear Rep was there. He helped me and told me to go with these arrows because they were good and on sale. I trusted him. Just because they were on sale does not mean they could be the correct ones for your set-up. Please let us know all your specs, poundage, length of arrow, weight of tip, etc. Thanks! tclubbs2 Posted August 23, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 23, 2006 Re: Loud Bow My draw is 29". The bow is set at 55lbs right now. My arrow length is 28.5" (I think). And My field tips are 100 Grains. I checked on Redhead's website and it showed I had the correct shaft for my draw weight. All together tip and shaft the arrows should be around 400 grains+/- a few with the inserts and nocks. I have not shot with anyone around me either. An eariler post said it could just be loud to me and not able to be heard a few yards away. So maybe I am paranoid. I should get my Limb Savors tomorrow and I'll post back when I shoot.
