Guest Finn
Re: the one time I remember when my daughter got those. The first one was ok, then the nurse said the second would hurt and her eyes quickly filled with tears. That was 11 years ago and I remember it very well. That's tough to watch when you can't help them.
c_lou
Re: the one time We took our daughter in a few months ago. She got the standard 3 shots. She took it like a trooper with just a little bit of crying. That last shot of MMR got her. Pretty thick needle and pretty thick juice that get's shot in. Guest nucker
Re: the one time Try this one - had to take my 14 month old to the ER last week. She's had an ear infection and the antibiotics weren't doing the job. Infection got worse, temp skyrocketed and she was getting dehydrated. As they were putting in an IV AND a catheter she was looking at me, screaming, as if to say, "Daddy, why aren't you helping me?" Absolutley no worse feeling in the world than seeing your baby hurting and knowing there is nothing you can do about it.
Tominator
Re: the one time Man, I know how you feel. Tears me up too. And I've gone through that 3 times, and next year will have to do it again. Hang in there dad.

What really got me with my oldest when she got hers was that after the first shot of four to get she looks up crying and tells me "daddy please dont let her give me anymore". With tears already in my eyes, it felt like my heart was being jerked out as all I could tell her was I am sorry, but you have to have them. Will never forget that.
