Guest Andrea
Alright, for those of you with boys........how are they wearing their hair?? When I go to the school....I think I'm in a time warp. It looks like the late 70's early 80's. All the boys have shaggy hair that hangs in their eyes and over their ears. My 9 yr old has short hair but INSISTS that he wear it slicked down so that he looks like Frankenstein's monster. I want him to part it on the side and kinda brush it over some but he swears he looks like a dork that way.
OJR
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles Oh boy, you are just starting to fight the battle of hair cuts and styles! My boys wanted all the latest fades and it was enough to drive both me and my wife crazy! Now the oldest one has a real "decent" haircut while the youngest one buzzs his own off! Of course, you must remember the oldest one will be 37 and the youngest one is 33! Sure am glad I am done with that phase of my life!! LOL!!! wtnhunt
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles When dropping off and picking up my oldest at the middle school, Hadnt really paid that much attention but most of the boys look pretty clean cut. My older two daughters both have kind of long straight hair.
buckblaster
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles i buzz my sons head when i do mine...every 2 weeks or so...he is 3 and loves it so far...LOL
huntinsonovagun
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles Ok, growing up, Dad would not let us have the "cool" haircuts (you guys remember the chili bowl and the undercut, right? ) I always had a combover....don't you just love looking back at how nerdy your old pictures are. Heck....I'm wondering what it will be like looking back 10 years from now. I don't mind somewhat shaggy hair, but I can't stand dudes that have long hair. Maybe to the eyebrows and just over the ears, but anything longer than that is too long, IMO.... I keep my hair the width of a finger on top and then they buzz the sides with a 1 1/2 guard. Clean-cut and easy to take care of.
Guest huntinsanobsession
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles cut mine to 1/4 of an inch all the way around cause i am always sporting a camo hat so whats it matter how long it is i cant stand it longer thena 1/2 inch anyway

Guest Finn
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles My son has a #4 in the back and combs the front straight down. We keep his cut around his ears (so when he joins the Air Force, he'll be used to it) He's 13 and so far, so good.
hunterfisherman
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles Mine is only four so he don't care yet. He has what I call a little boy haircut. I'm sure that will all change when he goes to school
Tominator
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles Long style early 70's is definitely coming back. It's coming back everywhere except my house. Just buzzed all 3 boys Sunday. They can grow it anyway they want when they move out, until then it will be as short, or shorter than dad's. Ohiobucks
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles My 11 year old boy, his hair is short on the sides and back, and it looks like he ran into a wall at top speed in the front. Gel is holding that stuff straight up in the air. My 7 year old girl just got her hair cut short, off her shoulders and straight. My 4 year old boy has some very wild hair. It is short, but very wavy and goes any direction it feels like going.
Guest nucker
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles I had the long hair in the 70s and my folks didn't like it. Now in my 40s and just glad to have SOME hair left (heck, I don't even mind the grey ones - it IS a hair!). My boy is in the second grade and I'm sure I'll be faced with him wanting a style just like I had back then. Tough to say no to that. After all, it is just hair. It will change and he will change - just like we all did.

My senior year longer hair was in style and it had that flip thing with the bangs. I had a big red wave....

BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Your kids\' hairstyles My oldest just got done at the stylist I had her hair done for school ... I figured shes in middle school and is becoming a lady and should have a good start to this part of her life ... I think her hair looks great but I am not so sure mom is that keen on it ... I think mom wanted it back to blonde but she wanted it reddish brown with slight highlights ... thats what she got ... looks great ... my youngest on the other hand could care less lol she just doesn't want it long so she got it cut kinda short lol ... it goes in phases for her.
