Muff
My wife just asked me where I am taking her out to dinner and what I was getting her for our anniversary.....Why should I have to take her out and get her a gift??????? is this not our day?????...don't get me wrong I will be taking her out and getting her something...but why do women just expect that the man will be getting everything that day???? Guest Andrea
Re: I have a ??? for the women in here. I think that an anniversary should be celebrated by BOTH. And by that I mean....each spouse gives the other a gift. And BOTH decide on HOW they will celebrate. Does it always work that way?? NO. Absolutely not. I think my husband takes advantage of the fact that I don't expect wining and dining. I am just as content to spend the weekend fishing....without the kids. HOWEVER..........if he wanted to surprise me with a piece of jewelry or roses and whatnot......I wouldn't mind at all. I AM a girl you know. I think that maybe women kinda want to be "romanced" like they were when they were dating. My idea of how husbands and wives should act on their anniversay is perfectly played out in the movie "The Family Man" with Nicolas Cage and Tea Leoni. It was like Christmas morning for them. Not a lot of presents mind you, but the excitement of it all FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. Sadly, life's not like the movies. But can you imagine how much happier we'd be if it was? BowJoe
Re: I have a ??? for the women in here. If my wife expects me to do everything every year like on valentine's day, our anniversary, sweethearts day and her birthday then she needs not be dissappointed so much. This year she expected me to go all out like I did last year with the Cabin on the lake and a specially cooked dinner. This year, because she didn't plan anything for me, she was very sadly disappointed. I don't mean to sound heartless but I was fed up with all of the expectations being put on me and none on her because I am not the type that needs all of the lovey dovey stuff. She got no more than what I got. I told her that it was her turn to make plans but no plans were made and nothing got done.
Guest nucker
Re: I have a ??? for the women in here. Let her have it."
vagobbln
Re: I have a ??? for the women in here. I get the same stuff from my wife. I'm working on my 18th year. Last year my wife said she wanted to go somewhere she hadn't been in while. So, I took her hand and walked her into the kitchen.

clayman
Re: I have a ??? for the women in here. A warning to all you single guys who are thinking about going down the path of wedded bliss...as romantic as it sounds don't do it on or near Valentine's Day. You run the risk of a double let down should you fail to come through on the anniversary AND the blasted holiday. And that's all I'll say about that.
