Bruce Schmeck Posted August 24, 2006 Report Share Posted August 24, 2006 Last Sunday some idiot made a left hand turn in front of me and of course we collided. Pretty much took the front end off my Explorer. So for the last three days I've been without a vehicle. Today I go to the rental agency to get the rental they said they'd pay for and they tell me they need a credit card. Well folks, ol' Bruce don't own a credit card. They'll take my debit card and deduct $250.00 from it and hold it though. What's wrong with that picture?? Sorry to vent, but I'm pretty PO'ed right now. 6sixpoint_nobrows Posted August 24, 2006 Report Share Posted August 24, 2006 Re: Now I\'m getting ticked thats so stupid...sounds like my deal....i switched to a differant insurance agency and the guy told me to go ahead and drive it because i was "covered" and that he would be mailing my proof of insurance slip to me...well that son of a gun didnt get it done for awhile but supposedly i was still covered...well i hit a big old buck in april and caused 4000 dollars worth of damage..i should have had full coverage and a 250 dollar deductable...well my dad being the honest one and trying to be nice when in a told the insurance man that we hit a deer...( at the point we erent quit sure if the truck was covered and were actully driving there to find out....) ( i wanted to call him and make sure the truck was covered before we told him i hit a deer) well anyways went in to collect the insurance money and the guy tells me its not his fault cuz "i wasnt covered"....the guy is one of my dad's long term buddies and still screwed us over like that.... Sorry to Hear that Bruce i hope things work out and i hope that guy doesnt appeal to the courts...but at least your venting...venting is good... Last time we had to deal with a rental was when the wife hit a boy in an s-10 who pulled out in front of her in the yukon.
