Jeramie Posted August 24, 2006 Report Share Posted August 24, 2006 I love my wife but…… About a month ago she bought me a few dress shirts on sale. I really liked a few of them but this one shirt is horrid. It’s like 5-tone brown/orange/ white stripe. This thing may have been cool during the disco era. I’ve tried my best to not wear this thing. I’ve wore the others a couple of times and I knew the subject of my other shirt would come up soon because the tags continued to swing from the sleeve. So on that note I decided to bite the bullet this morning and wear the thing. Once the tags are missing and she remembers it in the laundry I’m off the hook. Because it was roughly 3:30 a.m. when I slipped into my clothes I had totally forgotten that I have a meeting today over lunch with the rest of the drafting department (from the entire company), engineers, projectors, etc. Since roughly 5:45 I’ve received two comments on my adorning attire. Both were something to the degree of “Ahh, Ahhhh, Ahhhhh, Ahhhhhhhh, Stayin Aliiiiiiiiiiive.” Shoot me….. Shoot me now. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But in fact, it is. Only because we pay attention to that kinda thing more closely than you do. For example.......ever seen the kind of shirts Tim McGraw wears on tour? HOLY COW....I would give ANYTHING...I mean ANYTHING to see my husband in one of those. Ask him about it??? He looks at me like I'm crazy and says he wouldn't wear that if FAITH HILL herself asked him to. I know that's a big fat lie. But anyway.............don't sweat it. Are there any WOMEN there at work who've made fun of your shirt?? If so......then it's truly ugly. If not......you probably look fine. PM me with a pic.....I'll tell you what I think. After a jeans purchasing episode this past week I've finally come to the notion that (unless it's camoflage) I am the only one who can select clothes for myself. Not my wife, not my mother, not my mother-in-law...from now on my rule at Christmas and Birthday time is "NO CLOTHES." They never get the colors right, and watch out if they choose something with a pattern....AAACK!
