hutchies
This is absolutely the most absurd thing I have every seen on ebay and it makes me sick to say that I am a member. Jeramie
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. That is pathetic! Im going to send him a "Question" and let him know how I feel. Did you see the pens those deer were in? I wonder if you get to walk up and measure the deer to be sure of his size before you take two steps back and shoot him.... He needs a swift kick in the pants. If people are actually dumb enough to pay $20k for that Ive got a bunch of beef cattle ill be more then glad to call up with a little corn in a tin can and ill only charge $2500 each!...... okiedog
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. A doe or a fork horn on public land is more of a trophy to me than this!
whitetailkiller
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. it's a discrace to the hunting community!!!!! some undesided person will see that and put all hunters in the same catagory!!!!! vagobbln
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. You were right hutchies. It makes me want to puke. People like this who call this kind of stuff "hunting" and bastardize the very sport we hold so dear do a lot more damage to us than the anti's ever thought about doing IMO. Afterall, most of them are just idiots and can't help it. You could give me the 20 grand and I wouldn't set foot on his place. I'm sending him a "greeting" from Virginia as well. toddyboman
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. hhhmmmm.... While I agree with all of you 110% this is terriable and gives hunting a bad rep. But can you blame the guy?? You know the only reason he has done this is because SOMEONE WILL pay him that kind of money to do such a thing. I wish he would not give them the option but he is. Is this really any different than other ranches (except the guarunteed for a 240 inch part)?? Again I dont agree with this in any way shape or form but if some MORON is going to give ya $20,000 to shoot a deer can you hardly blame him fro taking the money??? Gator
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. I'll tell ya right now, if I had a deer like that, and someone offered me $20,000 bones to shoot it, well, I'd most likely let them. But you can bet I would have some of his semen frozen waiting to inseminate a doe or 50!!!! Besides, if I had a deer like that, I would most likely have a deer farm, and probably not be a hunter. What is the difference of someone raising a big buck like that, and selling it ALIVE to someone, who then turns it loose to shoot/be shot by someone else. If you don't think that stuff goes on, your crazy!!
Canadian_Shooter
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. gator your right it does go on but it sickens me to see some one put that up on ebay...sure it would be great to shoot a deer of that caliber but if you got to pay 20 000 + to shoot it ...your pathetic.....most likly it will be some famous guy who will do it then try and brag it up... huntn4bucks
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. Did you watch the "Guided Whitetail Deer Hunt Video" on their website. The guy was like..."Check out these rubs and scrapes. The bucks are really working this little ridge.". Then you see all these bucks with tags in their ears. The guy acts like he is really hunting. clayman
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. Seems there's a couple of celebrity types around who might spend that kind of money to take a pen raised critter. Wonder if Jimmy Houston could have him tied to a tree? WaCoyote
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. Thats all you see on tv anymore though. Everytime some "prostaff" hunts for a video series they're doing the exact same thing. The only difference is that they are advertising for the ranch they're hunting on and they don't have to pay for the hunt. Hunting is BIG business now; scents, scentlock clothing, scent killers, special food for deer, rangefinders, game cams, tree stands, special camo for this season or that season, etc etc etc. It didn't used to be that way but the huge money is taking over. Theres two things I HATE about hunting being commercialized. #1. Any yahoo with enough coin can shoot a specially bred farmraised deer like this. He'll be hailed as this great hunter and probably end up in some hunting mag. Or maybe on some hunting show that we'll all watch. He'll surely be entered in the record books. This make me sick. I'd rather hunt land where the average is 100-120 class deer with the hopes of seeing a 150 classer rather than shoot a "managed" deer on private closed land. #2. Now that the big money has entered the picture private property that was once accessable is now closed for clubs or outfitters who "manage" the deer and profit from the hunts but deny access to people not willing to pay. I really can't blame them for wanting to make a buck but what will be the end result to those of us who just want to hang out in deer camp with family and friends and maybe, just maybe, get a decent deer? I used to watch all of those hunting shows but now they really turn me off. I watch some fat goofy pig sit in some box and talk about how hard he's hunted because it's 90 degrees or 3 degrees and he's been in this box all day. If you sit in a friggin box and wait for a deer to walk out into a field and then you shoot it from a lawn chair with a benchrest for the rifle thats fine but it aint hunting in my book. I LOATH those types up "hunts" and I resent the fact that those animals are considered "trophies".
TreeWalker
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. Believe me, the biggest deer shot every year are not by prostaffers or rich people........the majority of slammin big bucks from Mulies to Coues Deer, are shot by the average joe like you and I.....well not me, I never shoot big deer, LOL..... As far as the Ebay Hunts and WHA....I think they all need a serious beat-down..... Videos and TV are just a marketing ploy, and it works.......it's got it's entertainment factor also, just like daytime soaps or all-star wrestling........the real hunters know what's real and what is not......... Guest andymansavage
Re: Guarunteed hunt on Ebay........sickening. "This will not be an easy hunt." Their definition of easy must be if the deer has a heart attack when it sees the hunter and falls into a pile of knives and guts itself, because that's the only way it could get any easier. Speaking of knives, I wonder how much they would charge Buckee to stab the deer to death?? Andy
