tp793
Re: New York Trip how'd you like it? I went up there for a week this summer and absolutely hated it, nothing about that city appeals to me!! Maybe I'm just not a city person, but everyone was rude, it smelled, and it was just too crowded. But it looks like you guys had a good time!! [/ QUOTE ] I've been there a few times before (e.g. shopping in Times Square, Rockafeller Center at Christmas time). I actually enjoy it everytime I go. True there are certain places that do smell funky but it wasn't really that crowded during the week and we were pleasantly surprised by some very kind and helpful people. And everyone needs to experience the New York subways.

My dad works right around the corner from Ground Zero and probably would've shown you around some..
Guest Andrea
Re: New York Trip Looks like y'all had fun. I've been there too. Saw Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. 2 shows everyone should see. Rode the lovely subway system.....talk about SMELL. Climbed the Statue of Liberty, went to Tiffany's, Trump Tower. I was so enthralled, I was taking pictures of the homeless people and taxi cabs!!! ( I know...what a redneck)

Anyway, we did visit Ground Zero...this was actually the second time. I appreciate the thought about a tour guide. My brother-in-law is NYPD in Manhattan so he gets us around pretty good.
