WaCoyote
I have a Winchester model 120 that was given to me by a guy who didn't want guns in the house with his kids. It's been about 10 years so I guess it's mine now although I've only fired it a few times. Question; whats the take on this shotgun. Is the 120 a popular or good model. What would the value be for this shotgun? It's really in very good condition as the guy who had it got it as a gift and never shot it. Frankly I don't like it. The stock is too beefy and the fit is not confortable to me. Also that rediculous safety at the front of the trigger guard is obnoxious. Way to far away for someone with average sized hands especially when I grew up shooting 870's. Not looking to sell or anything as it's not really mine but just kind of curious about it. Strut10
Re: Win model 120 Question The Winchester 120 is just the "economy version" of the 1200, so far as I know. I'v been around 1200's non-stop for 30 years. They are good shotguns. So, I'm guessing you've got yourself a quality gun, too.......and in really nice shape. I actually like the safety in front of the trigger guard for bird shooting. It's more of a natural motion to push the safety "Off" and come back to the trigger. You're already moving in the right direction to pull it.
Guest TIGER81
Re: Win model 120 Question I HAD A MODEL 120 FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS AND IT WAS MY FAVORITE SHOTGUN. IT CAME UP BETTER THAN MY 870. IT WAS NICE AND LIGHT AND I LOVED IT. UNFORTUNATELY MY HOME WAS BROKEN INTO ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND MY BABY WAS STOLEN. THESE GUNS ARE NOT REAL HIGH PRICED GUNS. MINE WAS IN MINT CONDITION AND I PAYED LESS THAN $200 FOR MINE. BUT FOR THE PRICE THEYRE AN AWESOME GUN. IF YOURE LOOKING AT SELLING IT LET ME ID LOVE TO HAVE ONE AGAIN.
