ousoonerfan22
We had the local gunsmith do a trigger job on the 17 and my dad is furious because he couldn't get the bolt out for cleaning by pressing the trigger while pulling the bolt back.He removed the trigger and disassembled it and found a short pin inside the spring? I assume this was made to take the travel out of the trigger or was it like that from the factory?
AJ
Re: 17 hmr marlin trigger help? First off I would contact the gunsmith to ask what exactly he did to the gun. Does your owners manual have a schematic of your trigger mechanisim? You can see one here at Brownells if you don't have the manual handy. How old is the gun? All of the late models have the T-900 trigger mechanisim. This is a bit different than the older guns. Again, I would speak to the gunsmith to find out what exactly was done.
