Does anyone shoot a pendulum for 3D or league?

Pendelums only work from a treestand. Even then they are limited to a certain distance. On level ground they only shoot accurately to the distance you have it sighted in for....no closer, no further. I don't like pendulums. I don't think they can be accurate enough on level ground, except at one certain distance.

I have a Savage pendulum, with the extra pin for on the ground. I shoot a 3D range at our gun club and do OK, but past 30 yards would be guessing.

They are made for hunting from a tree-stand and still hunting on the ground at 0 to 30 yards. Not so great for a 3D range if you have targets out past 30 yards.

Depending apon your bow, is how far your going to shoot with it. I can shoot 40 yds with my pendulum. On the ground i can shoot out to 30 yds and hit, after that it falls below bullseye

As for your limited to a certain distance, your just as limited as you are with fixed pins. Its all in the way you adjust it. I can adjust mine so i can shoot 60 yds if i want, but i never get any shots over 30 yds.

I will always shoot with pendulums, but like the guy above, he don't like them.

Its all preference, pretty much like the all archery products.

I had a Prediter pendilum 4 sight on my bow and switeched to a Trophy Ridge 5 pin inline sight. I couldn't believe just how much my might was killing me. It caused me to miss a deer opening morning and now that ive switched my accuracy and confidence it sky high. If your thinking about a trophy ridge i would say go 5 pin not pendilum.
