Guest Bob_D
Anybody see this one? Anybody else see an issue with the numbers they show for the bow hunter? They show a line of sight from the hunter to the target (deer) as 32 yards and an actual distance (base of tree to target) as 23 yards with an angle of 44 degrees. This would put the hunter eyes ~67 vertical feet above the target. Anybody shot a deer from 67 feet in the air with a bow???? They do show the stand on the edge of a hill, but I don't think the numbers they gave are what most hunters would see. I know they are trying to sell product, but it kind of gave me a bad image of the company. Example: On a flat surface from a 30' stand height the same 23 yard shot (from base of the tree to the target) would have a line of site distance of about 25 yards. From a 20' stand the difference would be less then a yard. The further the shot the closer the numbers get. I guess I don't like it when I think a company is trying to trick me. BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Bushnell A.R.C. Commercial You could have that kinda angle/footage if your stand is on top of a ridge and the deer is in the draw below ... I think that is what they are trying to get across ... if you put your 20 yard pin on that deer at the angle you would miss ... thats the point they are making ... its pretty neat what they are doing with Range finders if you ask me ... Guest Bob_D
Re: Bushnell A.R.C. Commercial I guess it was the way they presented it. The picture was not anyway near scale and it gave the appearence that it was a pretty normal situation. Maybe it's just me.......
wtnhunt
Re: Bushnell A.R.C. Commercial Have seen the commercial, while I dont think it is something I need so long as I know how to use the range finder I am using, I never really thought about their commercial as being trickery.
