A toss up between rifles

i am having one heck of a time trying to make up my mind on a few different rifles. I am interested in these:

-Browning BLR .300 WSM

-Remington 7400 Semi .30-06

-Remington 7400 Semi .270

-Remington 7600 Pump .270

-Remington 7600 Pump .30-06

Any of you guys have any suggestions?? I'd like em all, but cant afford that many rifles LOL. I love the idea of the .300 WSM, but the shells are so expensive. And i am in love with the remington 7600s and 7400s, i am aiming towards the semi, has anyone had any problems with jamming??

Re: A toss up between rifles

LOL VTbowman you sure can read minds!! yes i do shoot at moving game and i love pepperin em off LOL. ya i get that from my dad. He has shot many deer with his Browning BLR .308 running across the field at 50mph. when he hits them they do about 10 flips until they come to a stop. I am currently using dads Remington 700 .300 Win Mag. I really like that gun and forgot to list it on the post. and to be honest, i can eject the shells really fast outa the 700s too, so i might still get one of those. The only thing i cannot stand about the .300 Mag that dad has is that there isn't a detachable magazine. If i get a 700 i am definetly getting it with the DM option. thanks for the input boys

Re: A toss up between rifles

I dunno about that. Semi Autos Eat recoil and **** lead. I would recomend a BAR. This gun is AWESOME. Great accuracy, and quick follow up shots are as fast as you can get another bead. The BLR looks sweet also. Our winchester 88 in 308 shoots like a dream. Winchester should bring that back. This gun is awesome and worth a pretty penny. Don't use it much no more. But those lever actions in preformances cartriges are awesome.

Re: A toss up between rifles

I hate bolt rifles but that is just me.

It seems to me almost all of the trouble with jamming in the 7400/7600 are caused by their newer mags not being as good quality as the older ones. Take a newer gun that is having problems and slap in an old mag and usually it fixes the problems.

Another problem can be that the mag actually goes in too far. My dads rifle you have to put the mag in and the pull out so it sets against the mag release. I'm trying to figure out how to fix that problem.

[ QUOTE ]

Go bolt or single shot in my opnion more accurate

[/ QUOTE ] Three of my buddys hunt with 7600 pump rifles. They shoot awsome. As accurate as my bolts all day. Speedy second shot and very accurate are the two reasons why I reccomend them.

Re: A toss up between rifles

i myself like the single shot guns though i know you have to be more sure of your shot than with a bolt semi or pump but if i were to choose between the semi and pump i think i would go with a pump. if things go with what heppened to me with my semi auto shotgun i would gladly say the pump. i keep tryign to pump the shell into the chambeer even though it's a semi auto lol
