Has anybody ever tried this before?

Well, it was during the rut last year, and i had just bought a true talker, and wanted to try it out. So i grabbed my 30-30, my call, and headed out. I picked a deer trail i knew, and started slowly walking. As i walked, i made some quiet grunts with each step. I immediately started seeing does all around me.. Several headed right at me, and got within a few feet before they noticed i wasn't a buck(i sprayed myself down pretty well). Well, long story short, i managed to tag a deer within an hour. I was thinking about trying this again, but i wanted to see if anybody else had tried this technique before.

I got my biggest buck ever by still-hunting and stopping every now and then to do a doe-in-heat call along with a few grunts. grin.gif
