johnf
Re: scopes I've got Nikon Prostaff on my rifles and love them. They are the best $150 scope you can buy. If I were to spend more, it would be on a better Nikon.
RangerClay
Re: scopes You may want to ask this question in the varmint room for a better response. Me, I am a Bushnell man. That's all I own. I really like them. I have a 3x9x40 on my yote gun.
Guest ronin
Re: scopes I have to say that I really like the Nikon optics. They are comparable to some of the top MFR's out there for far less money. Nikon is also tops in the photography world so it seems to fit. However, I just purchased a Simmons Aetec Master Series scope and am thoroughly impressed so far. Crystal clear optics and easy adjustments all for about $150. The clarity seems to be on par with my Nikon Monarch however, I don't know how to compare the light transmission because Simmons didn't supply that data. Personally, I can't tell the difference. Guest ronin
Re: scopes Yeah, I'm a Leupold fan and have the VX3's on some of my best rifles. However, the price for that quality is huge in comparison to some of the others. It is kind of nice to have a quality option at a lowere $. wtnhunt
Re: scopes Think I have become a fan of the burris line of scopes. They are a good quality scope for the money.
OJR
Re: scopes I have a Burris on my 270 & 308. A Pentax on my '06! All very clear and gather a lot of light! They are great for early morning or late evening!
rifleman25
Re: scopes Zeiss and Leupold are all I'll buy. They never let ya down. Remember ya get what ya pay for.
jdickey
Re: scopes If you are serious about getting after those yotes... I would recommend the SIGHTRON II 4.5x14-42 IRDMD. Check their link.... SIGHTRON SCOPES The lighted reticle has a variable brightness control, excellent optics, and is highly sought after here in my area in Texas! LETMGROW
Re: scopes ronin made a good comparison. The Simmons Atec Master Series is one heck of a good optic for the price. I have had friends compare it to their high dollar scopes and they were really impressed. Dollar for dollar they are a good choice.

Guest Kentucky_Head_Hunters
Re: scopes I prefer Simmons Scopes, they are great scopes for the price. If you want high dollar go with Leupold.
