mathews4life
can you leave a deer frozen before bringing it to the taxedermist??
Guest Scraper
Re: how long.... lol, I have heard that question many times. Mostly that question comes up when someone poaches a deer and waits till season comes in before they take it to the taxidermist. Ideally you want to take it to your local Taxidermist as soon as possible. Ask your taxidermist what he recommends.
artisticwhitetails
Re: how long.... Its it's double wrapped in plastic bags and sealed properly, it can stay frozen for very long periods of time. I got on last week from Jan 2004 and it was just fine. However, if anything is exposed to the open freezer air, it can get freezer burn quick.

Guest MKMGOBL
Re: how long.... Quality will go down with time. The sooner the better, but as mentioned above, up to 1 year if it is sealed up well. After that and you had better vacume seal it.
RTF
Re: how long.... As long as it froze quickly the first time and has not defrost. Over a year will not be a problem.
