I think so, but its weather depending. I placed a new stand in a GREAT spot that my mother wants to hunt. Its going to be her first year bowhunting for real, and she wants me nearby. So I probably will be in a nearby stand at the intersection of two treelines on top of a ridge with several cornfields within 500 yards.

If the weather is rough, I'll be in the middle of a cedar thicket on the edge of a little wetland. Deer love those cedars when the wind is blowing.

Yep, I know the area I'am going to already. Been watching lots of action around there. Something magical to me about opening day. I can always seem to get out of bed way before I'am supposed to. I've even walked out and sat in a tree one year opening morning with it pouring down rain. I knew I wasn't going to see anything, but the first day of season I'am gonna be out there no matter what.

Re: Do you know where you will be?

Will probably be on the ground, hunting a doe, between the corn field and the bedding area. There are three major trails, will keep tabs on them from where they are crossing the gravel road as to which trail they are using most, low impact scouting at its best. Since I'll be on the ground, wind direction will only decide which side of the trail I will set up on. I am selling my house, and looks like closing will be sometime during the first week of Oct..season opend the first. At least it will be before November!!

I have no clue where I will be. I had a spot on state land all picked out. Havent seen anyone out there during deer season in 3 years. But I guess one of the neighbors had the same thought cause some1 has a stand within 10 feet of where I was goin to put mine. I will just have to wait and see.
