Tom2008
Re: Do you know where you will be? I will be in Kettle River, MN at my cabin. Hunting near the edge of our 40 acres along a clearing where the power lines are. There will be 3 deer trails 10, 15, and 20 yards away from my stand I can't wait!!!! Born4it
Re: Do you know where you will be? I'll be on the edge of a standing corn field (sounds stupid huh... ) that they've torn all up. There's a creek behind me and a funnel to my right, so hopefully they'll all come right in front of me for about a 15 yard chip shot! Good luck, Ryan
GWSmith
Re: Do you know where you will be? Still holding out for more information on putting in a tent camp near a very special place...I'll find out more by the end of the weekend. It's like "Worlds Away" from what I'm used to hunting...but it's in my home state! Here's a Pic from the general area my friend was able to get recently:

GWSmith
Re: Do you know where you will be? I've been camping there before....a canoe ride downstream in the early morning fog will take your breath away! Almost as much as walking down a game trail in the area and seeing your first ever "Bear Tree" that has claw marks on it at and above eye level to you and you stand 6' tall(that one took my breath away too...but a different kind of way)
Tom2008
Re: Do you know where you will be? Thats what it feels like when I start walking through my woods. Until I see a pile of bear poo that looks fresh haha. I'm suprised I haven't found any "Bear Trees" where I hunt yet. They roam around there everywhere. BowJoe
Re: Do you know where you will be? I haven't decided if I will hunt opening morning, but I will definately be in a stand that evening. I have a few places picked out for evening hunts but by far the best thing is my buddy, whose property I hunt, will be in Bermuda the first 2 weeks of the season. Talk about luck since he hunts on the same fence row as me and the deer come from him to me. They are all mine for at least 2 weeks. I also hunt state land but last year I found a honey spot that is perfect for a ladder stand and far from where most hunters hunt.
Tony
Re: Do you know where you will be? probably in the same tree i shot my buck from last year. its a good spot to get a crack at a doe with my recurve. actually thats what i was trying to do last year on oct 19th with my compound until he walked into the picture. Jeramie
Re: Do you know where you will be? Yes and no. I have a spot I really want to hunt but I know nothing about it. I have another that does come through like clockwork and have for years. Yet another spot yelds the same thing only Bucks are often mixed in. And finally, during Turkey season I went to some public land by the house. I found a spot off in the woods and told myself, this would be a good spot for deer. When I came back through a couple of hours later I walked up on two deer and watched them feed directly across the spot I had picked out. After that I promised myself I would hunt there, at least once.
rhine16
Re: Do you know where you will be? depends on the wind... either in a big oak hollow, or in some cutover where there are 5 or 6 white oaks clumped together and a trail to a big pond...
