wtnhunt
Before planting. Had posted this and a few other pics a week or so ago. Couldnt get a wide angle, had the telephoto on the camera when i went for my walk yesterday morning. Was a little concerned about the amount of sunlight, think I am going to be ok. Took this pic yesterday, just one week after planting. Planted roughly 1/6th to 1/8th of an acre here of the hamann farms winter blend. Found quite a few deer and turkey tracks around the edges of the plot and along the access trails I seeded in wheat and wintergrazer rye leading to this plot. LETMGROW
Re: Winter mini plot progress You might want to put a cage in there just to see how much the plot could really produce. With a small plot the deer could strip it to the point you may think it didn't grow. If you find the caged area grows much taller you probably should consider a larger plot next season. Looks great.! [/ QUOTE ] Thanks for the suggestion, planting another plot of the same mix this weekend that will be about a 1/4 acre.
