VermontHunter
OK ,, with all of the talk about the SONIC BroadHead I thought I would do a small practicle test of my own.... And this time John (Mr.NRA) I had my camera... First my bow... I'm shooting and Alpine Fatal Impact @ 62# my hunting shafts are GoldTip 5575's @ 29.5 in. The Broadhead.... SONIC 100grn. 7/8" fixed blade.. This test was done at 30 yards,, and the board in question is a 3/4" piece of wet spruce... I'll let the pictures tell the story.... But I will say this ... WOW !!!!!!! Glad I wasn't the board......
BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: SONIC TEST Holy cow ... now that is a broadhead ... what a truly great broadhead ... I converted my buddy over last night to .. we shot 3 kinds of broadheads and the only one that flew like the field tip ... and exactly like the field tip was the Sonic ... we shot muzzy's Nitro's and Sonics ... at 40 yards the sonic still hit the bull every time ... GWSmith
Re: SONIC TEST OK...Fess up...How many tries did it take before you hit the board BTW...the guy who bought all of these BH's from the archery shop the other day has a complaint about them already. Seems that when he's shooting groups the back of the first broadhead causes a nasty gash in the leading edge of the next one "I just wanted to see how good they grouped" Gotta Love Repeat Customers
rifleman25
Re: SONIC TEST Look at what happened to the point on that head. I'd like to see a closer pic of what happened to the blades if one shot did that to the point. Just a thought.

The Sonics weren't band once I read the directions. But thunderheads... more like a thunderheadache

[/ QUOTE ] Once I put my patience in check with the little bugger it was actually a little easier. I know all about putting Thunderheads together. I got the cuts on my hands to prove it! I have gone to JUST SCREW THEM ON cut on contact broadheads a few years ago. I now use the NAP RAZORCAPS. EASY and true right out of the package! That little sonic might be used in a field test for my bank a doe.
