Turkeygirl
I got my new bow sight in the mail yesterday and hopefully sometime this week the guy at the shop will call and tell me my Hoyt bow is in. Since I'll have the sight, rest, and nock for the new bow, do I just take the stuff with me when I go to get the bow and should he put everything on and help get it all adjusted? I haven't had to do this type of thing before, lol, so that's why I'm asking.
BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: This may be a dumb question.... The shop will probably charge you to put the stuff you bought elsewhere on .. depends on the shop .. its usually not a lot of money ... but it covers his time ... of course they want you to buy there stuff ... and usually they will put there stuff on for free ... depnding on your shop the guy might just do it for you too... some shops are real friendly that way ... Gl with your new bow when you get it. Steve
muggs
Re: This may be a dumb question.... yeah, that's a good idea. they'll be able to tune everything for you. shoot it afterwards and have the guy watch you. he'll be able to make the needed adjustments. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: This may be a dumb question.... Take all your stuff and ask questions, that is the only way you will ever learn more. Plus the guys at the pro shops like to work on pretty girls bows, makes them feel macho!! Hope you love that new Hoyt, post pictures of it when you get it all set up and ready for hunting!
Tony
Re: This may be a dumb question.... a good pro shop wont charge you to put these items on your new bow. it takes almost no time to put that stuff on. but some do charge. i doubt they will seeing that you just bought a new bow from them. Turkeygirl
Re: This may be a dumb question.... Well Andy said he could put the stuff on for me, so when the bow comes in, I may just have the guy make sure it is at the right draw length, put my peep sight on, pay him, and bring it home:-) Oh, when the day comes........... Guest midwestbuckhtr
Re: This may be a dumb question.... i finally had my new bow (switchback xt) set up today. it took forever to get it in and where i took it i did not buy it or the rest. he charged me 30 to set up everything, (peep, sight, string leeches). I brought my new rest and he charged me an extra 12 for that. i felt it was too much, but it's done now.
unioncountyslayer
Re: This may be a dumb question.... The price should be minimal to have a pro shop set you up. this way you know everything is right. Buy some arrows or something from him and he may not even charge you.
