Guest Xen
just wondering why the 10mm and 400 corbon seem to get overlooked so often. i've been doing a little bit of reading on them both and they seem to be a good calibers with good ballistics, just don't seem to catch on. has anybody ever shot these calibers? i can look at load and ballistic data all day, but i'd like to hear how they shoot. recoil, grouping, recovery time, etc.
Strut10
Re: 10mm and .400 Corbon?? IMO, the .400 CorBon gets overlooked due to the lack of production guns & ammo in that caliber. The 10MM gets the shaft due to a bunch of misguided wimps years back that whined about the recoil. I shoot a Glock 29 10MM. It is my carry gun 99.9% of the time.......concealed and in the woods. It's a butt-kicker & a name-taker. It's energy numbers best the .357 Sig, .357 Mag, 40 S&W and .45 ACP handily. In the Glock platform (haven't fired any other style 10's) it's easily controllable and follow-ups are not hard. My wife and two of her friends have shot it and had no complaints. I usually do not do a lot of shooting from a bench & bags with my handguns. But the one time I did with the 29, I emptied the whole mag into approximately 5" at 50 yds. Maybe not match accuracy. But plenty good for a short barreled auto.
