Re: iowa shotgun deer license question

Alan, if you live in Iowa then you can buy your license any time right through the end of season. If youre after the extra doe tags{if available where you live} then theyre on a quota which is first come first serve and will be available untill they run out.

Re: iowa shotgun deer license question

Actually horst you are partially correct... you can buy first season shotgun tag up until the first day of the shotgun season ... adn up to the first day of the second season ... aster the season starts you cannot buy a tag for that season ... it prevents ppl from shooting the buck/deer and then going and buying the tag ... but you should be good if you get them by the first of Dec.

Alan, as side note goto the DNR websight and read the regs, theyve changed other things as well this year, you now have to register your deer after you kill it and if you can get a landowners license you must register beforehand to be eligible for that as well.

I did know about the registering your deer ... and I also knew that this year if I buy early muzzle tag I can still hunt doe in the shotgun season that is kinda nice ...
