hunterfisherman
Re: Pronghorn Anyplace that has good public land and good tags. Not even sure where to get started. Going to make the trip with someone else on the forum and it's something we both have been wanting to do. Any information you can send my way will be helpful. Are you out in that area or just been on the hunt?
pointing_dogs_rule
Re: Pronghorn Hi Guy! North Dakota .... you can buy the bow license over the counter at any court house. I was never turned down when asking permission to hunt goats. Hunt the west part of the state near the Ted Roosevelt park (along highway #85 ... i believe). South Dakota ... Must buy your tag at the state capitol in Pierre. Best to apply by mail so you do not have to stop at the capitol to get your license. (by the way it is the smallest state capitol (POPULATION) wise in the country and very pretty)!!!! Hunt the west also along highway #85. The areas around Ludlow and Buffalo had decent #'s a few years ago. Was only turned down once when asking permission in SD. Wyoming ... Never hunted there, however, they the state warns you to have access to land before you apply for a tag. I think this state has more goats then any other. Note: Wyoming tags (I believe) are only good for a specific "section", whereas ND & SD bow tags are good for the entire state that is open to antelope hunting. Just my .02 cents worth. good luck to all the dog
