wtnhunt
Re: Drop Tine Buck Some really nice pics there. Yep, that deer would look great on someones wall. Think he is pretty safe where he is, wonder what he will look like next year.

DSGB
Re: Drop Tine Buck [ QUOTE ] looks good. What exactly is Cades Cove? [/ QUOTE ] Cades Cove is in the Northwest part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that lies in East Tennessee and West North Carolina. It is part of the Appalachian Mountains. The cove has an 11 mile scenic loop road that you can drive through. There are old cabins, mills, and farmland, as well as plenty of wildlife that have never been hunted (or at least not in the last 100 years or so) and have no real fear of humans. They will keep their distance, but let you get pretty close. It is the most visited part of the National Park. Cades Cove

DSGB
Re: Drop Tine Buck I was about 30 yards away when I took most of them. When he moved, though, he actually walked past me at about 20 feet. He fed in front of me as close as 15 feet. Picture number 5 was with no zoom. The rest I took that close were blurry because he wouldn't stay still.
