WOW, what a buck!!!

I can't help but think that someone is going to fork over alot less $$ to kill a bigger mule deer than that somewhere this year. I could be wrong but that $$ is insane. Good for the state but insane. lol

Great buck though.

You could not be more wrong. THis buck was killed on a raffle tag by an "average" guy. From what I understand he is a class act that scouted and hunted his tail off.

Drum is right. The guy paid $5 to apply for a tag that I applied for too.

HE WAS SELF GUIDED

Rifleman, I hear that it came from the Henry's

My bad. I didn't read the first post well enough, good job to the guy, well done and well deserved. I was on the assumption that it was one of those "auctioned" tags that some states have, the one where the high bidder gets the tag. Sorry for the bad post, once again, my bad, should have read a bit better and kudos to the guy.

Sorry for the 2nd post. Maybe those tags I was thinking of are only for sheep. I've just heard of expensive tags being sold in some places, for conservation $$$. A good idea I think. I just assumed governor's tag meant that, once again, didn't mean to belittle the hunter in any way.
