the 8 pt. (2nd pic down from the top) i got quite a bit of video footage of him...but i really don't have any way of downloading it to this computer...i just bought a minidv cam off of ebay....hopefully when i get footage with it i will be able to download it to here using the firewire....

I see, So does that mean that the footage is on a tape of somesort, because Im in advanced video production in school and they have all the stuff to get it on the computer and onto a DVD or blank disc and so when the tape is full and you need some help, drop me a PM. But im sure you know how to do it considering you made the camera, lol

the camera in the system is an older Sony Hi8....i don't have the proper capture device on this computer to download it....(RCA cables)now when i get the minidv in the unit i will then be able to hook it up directly to my pc via the firewire...

i did burn the video footage on a dvd (have a dvd player/burner) but can't for the life of me figure out how to capture clips off of it when i play it on my pc.... confused.gif

You should be able to capture or record from the dvd to your hard drive with your video editing software. Guess it maybe depends on what software you are using.
