It would cost one deployment to Iraq. Starts this month, so this year is out for me. I hope all of you have a great season and enjoy the time in the great AMERICAN outdoors.

To answer your question....some things are just not for sale so there is no amount of $ I'd take to hang up my hunting gear for a year.

A friend of mine emailed that to me when the bid was $490. He's still waiting for some tree hugger to meet his minimum bid. I don't think he's an idiot either. Let's see if the antis will put up or shut up. Heck I come off a hip a whole lot more than that each year with hunting club dues, out of state trips, etc. It will be interesting to see if the antis can even meet the minimum he's set to hang up his gear.

I was just about to agree with you....until the thought crossed my mind of being Waddells cameraman for an entire year grin.gif

I think I'd take that for payment not to hunt for a full year wink.gif

I don't think he's an idiot. It is quite an interesting offer, that I have noticed no one has taken him up on. It would take a lot of money for me to give up hunting for a year though. I have missed almost two years of hunting because of my military requirments. Missing spring turkey season just ate me up this year. And I have been thinking about nothing but getting to hunt archery while I'm home on leave... heck I think about hunting so much I'm on Realtree.com and watching every hunting video I can get my hands on everyday... and that's not near as good as the real thing/
