JJL
I just spent 1/2 half an hour putting together a post about our hunt in Wy. with Steve B. Very well written with pics and stories for all. But, when I went to post it I was informed that my form was no longer valid. It going to have to wait for another day, right now I'm too pissed off. Thanks again Realtree...............user-friendly doesn't exist around here
buckee
Re: This Sucks.................. I've had that happen to me before too Jim. Servers go through these little automated clean-out cycles every once in a while, and if you happen to be making a post at the time, you lose it. I hate it when that happens too. I have learnt now, when making long posts with pics, to do it all using notepad first, and then just copy and paste. It makes it so much easier, and, if something goes wrong, it's right handy for you to try again, without re-writing the whole thing. Sorry Jim

dogdoc
Re: This Sucks.................. i've had that happen to me a few times. usually you can just hit the back button and your message is still there--then just copy and paste. When I have a long post I usually just copy it just in case it gets lost when submitting
TreeWalker
Re: This Sucks.................. If this is only the first time it has happened to you, you have nothing to complain about, LOL.........I finally figured out, that when i am done with a lengthy post, I backdrag it and copy it, before I hit submit.........then if needed, I can just quickly start another topic or reply and simply paste what i speant so long to accomplish......... Go have a cold one and post it again later...
Turkeygirl
Re: This Sucks.................. I've had that happen alot this past week, even with posts that aren't that long. Maybe I'm just a slow typer??
wtnhunt
Re: This Sucks.................. Yep, on lengthy posts is a good idea to copy before clicking. Have lost a few that way myself a time or two and learned to preview post occasionally while working on something long and always to copy it to the clipboard before submitting if it has sat idle for any length of time. BowJoe
Re: This Sucks.................. I do the same thing as dogdoc. I work in a job that sometimes I'm away from my desk for hours. When I get back, I just finish my post, copy it, go back refresh and the scroll down again and click paste.
