when are you expecting to be done

Hopefully with in the next couple of weeks. I hunt a different area a couple miles away during the first part of bow season. The earliest this stand will be hunted might be 2 months form now. More that likely, it will be next year.

Trying to decide which direction for the windows to open, up or down? If they fliped up, they would act as rain sheild. Any suggestions?

If they are in the up position and it rains, the water is going to run right in on you!

Put in some rails and use plexiglass for windows. That way they can slide!

Sliding is not an option I have. Don't have the room on the sides for that. I did some vertical windows that will fold straight down and lay flat so I could shoot my bow from the blind. If I fold them up, they will stop just shot of a 90 deg angle to allow water to run off. Think this the way I will go. Still will have enough opening for the gun and scope. Think I will use lid supports, like they use on cedar chests. The bow windows will be plywood, that will be hinged on the bottom so they will fold down. The rest of the windows will be plexiglass. At one time I had some tinted plex, I'll see if I can dig some of that up.

My shooting windows come out, and I have a piece of plexiglass that I lift in the opening and move when I need to shoot.

Windows on hinges make noise or seem to always be in the way. wink.gif
