RyanH
As you all know I was going to Wyoming to work and hopefully chase some of the animals I have always dreamed about. And also you know about my parents. Im trying to decide if this accident was a reason to bring me back home. GOd works in weird ways at times. I wanna leave for Wyoming again, but im just not sure that its the right desicion, ya know? Please give me some feedback/support. Thanks! My mother will recover fine, just going to be slow and painful recovery. Thanks for all the prayers!
BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: No sure what to do! Well I think you should try it out there ... there really wasn't much you could do back in OK anyhow it was all in the Gods hands as you say ... I think you should give it a shot ... there musta been a reason you wanted the job that payed this well ... unless there was other reasons for going out there .. your still young enough you have a lot to look forward to ... you are ultimately the one who has to make the decision as to what you will do with your life .. I know steve and them can really use you out there ... and were counting on you to. Steve
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: No sure what to do! Like Steve said...you are the one who has to make the desicion on what to do...we can give you advise, but not tell you what to do its tough sometimes to pack up and leave home, and something like this happening doesn't help...but unfortunatly thing like this do happen, we pray it will never happen to us or anyone we know, but it does...i'm not sure when you have to be back if you decide to go...but i would try and stick around the rest of the week if you can, something like this can't be forgotten in just a day or two and i am sure you don't want to leave your parents so soon after this...but i would still give wyoming a try...if it doesn't work out after a few months, then it doesn't work out...but at least 2, 3 years down the road you won't be looking back and regreting not giving it a try...you are young, get out there, live life, have fun...but this is just my opinion

That is an extremely tough situation to be in. I know personally I would not leave my family for a career. But your young and single so now would be the time. Like I said very tough situation, i'm sure you'll make the right choice. Glad your rents are gonna be OK.

OJR
Re: No sure what to do! I would head back to WY! There isn't anything that you can do to help your parents get well! BowtechsWife
Re: No sure what to do! This is your decision...weigh out your options...what are the pros to going to Wyoming what are the cons of going? Same with staying in OK. I am sorry to hear of your parents, but speaking as a parent I wouldn't want my children to withdraw from a great opportunity on my behalf. Aside from being present for comfort is there really a need for you in OK?

rifleman25
Re: No sure what to do! You need to get your azz back out there. There is no real reason for you to be in Ok in the first place. Why didn't you wait to hear about their condition and get all the facts before bailing on a couple major commitments? I'd leave and get back out there right away. Why blow a great opporotunity on just hanging out at home?

deerslayer2295
Re: No sure what to do! Ryan this is just my opinion, what happened to your parents was a terrible accident, and I am glad they are going to be alright. God had nothing to do with except the fact that he kept them safe. Everyone has choices in life, turn left or turn right, take the job or don't take the job, move or don't move. The thing is Ryan, you have to make the choice. Then and only then will you know if you did the right thing. To me it sounds like a great opportunity for a career advancement. Good luck on your decision, and I am very glad that your family is alright. God bless all of you.
ruttinbuc
Re: No sure what to do! Ryan, your parents are in the best hands they can possibly be in at this time. Its not an easy decision to pick up and start a life on your own. I am sure you got your parents blessings when you made up your mind to go to Wyoming. I am sure that you still do. Look forward! Love for, and commitment to family is in the heart wherever you are in the world together or apart. I am sure your parents know that. I am thankful that things will be ok. BowJoe
Re: No sure what to do! I say look at what you have at home and what you have waiting for you in Wyoming. You need to be out on your own and making a living not sitting at your folks house worrying. Worry never got anyone anything. Make sure to stay in contact when you can and show your concern that way. Not to sound harsh because I respect you for being a man and going it on your own but if medical doctors can't help the situation then neither can you. You said she's ok now say your prayers, count your blessings and show your thanks to God for allowing you to follow this opportunity by keeping your parents safe. If you really don't want to work in Wyoming then stay at home and feel regret for letting down many others because of feeling sorry for yourself. GIT R DONE comes to mind. MrWiggely
Re: No sure what to do! Ryan, consdering your parents are doing ok, recovering and all, I would get my butt back out there and get to work. Thank your new boss for giving you the time with such short notice, and all. The sooner you get out there and get busy, the sooner all your doubts about moving will go away. Luck to you ! Wigs

Exturkinator
Re: No sure what to do! Newarcher
Re: No sure what to do! Well, that depends. If your Dad is going to be well enough to take care of your Mom, then yes go back. If it will be a challenge for him or you think your Mom will heal better with you home, then delay. Oh and if God didn't want you going to Wyoming, YOU would have had the car wreck! Good luck with your decision. New
