Jeramie
I bought a bunch of wraps off of Ebay (all white). Ive fletched about 1.5 dozen (out of 4-dozen wraps). Im using Platinum glue and different vanes including Killers, Dura Vanes, etc. For some reason the vanes lift off almost every time. They will NOT stick. Ive cleaned the wraps with Alcohol and Nail polish Remover. Ive also left them alone, regardless, the fletchings wont stick. If you let the glue setup for a while they look great but if you push the vane to one side or the other it will break loose. My assumption is the Wraps are in-fact junk and probable not porous enough for the glue to stick?! Anyone else have this trouble or know what it might be? Could it be the glue? It seems to setup ok.... Btw, Hutch Pm me your addy. Ill send you some of these to look at. I forgot I was going to do that a month or so ago. LifeNRA
Re: Problems with Wraps?? I got some of the wraps that Hutchies got. They work great! The Bowmanhunter wraps dont want to stick to them selves! The vanes stick great, but where the wraps over-lap, it comes up. Seems like the glue does not like sticking to the vynil. But the wraps I got just the last time stick like crazy! I wont be buying from bowmanhunter anymore! I wouldnt mind trying your wraps from ozcrest, but the shipping here to the states would be crazy! Sorry, but Ill stay local!
hutchies
Re: Problems with Wraps?? Carolina Falls has the goods bud. 8 dozen in White or Orange for $20 and they work great. Jeramie did you try superglue like I told you. I have went to only using superglue. Works great.
mo_hunter
Re: Problems with Wraps?? don't prep the wraps with anything just wipe them off after putting the wrap on with a paper towel and fletch. I've never had a problem with a fletch coming off ever.

[/ QUOTE ] Yep, tried the superglue gel. Still didnt stick. These things are really slick. Im going to get into some different wraps. I think that will solve the problem. Ill probably go back to the SG gel too. Its much cheaper. BTW, where do you get Carolina Falls Wraps?

I only used his reflectives, and certain thats a different material then his regualr ones. His price was the best in town back when I bought wraps so I went with his. My most current wraps, the black reflective tape, is a roll of 3M tape 1"x10' and cost me about $10 shipped. It will do 24 arrows if you cut it to 5" lengths. Perfect for a blazer sized vanes. After seeing yours I wouldnt mind trying that! Normal Blazer wraps are 4". So with a 10' roll you should be able to get 30 arrows. Then again you probably want that extra inch for seeing them with the light too.
BowJoe
Re: Problems with Wraps?? Here's a simple solution. I bought the reflective rolls of tape at walmart made by 3M. I cut it into 31/32" strips for my GT Pro Hunter 5575's. I wipe down my arrows with a barely damp with acetone paper towel. I wipe down the fletchings too and then I use Fast Fletch glue or Goat Tuff glue. No problems and I'm sure they didn't think of a use like that when they made reflective tape. But as a bonus I can see my arrows at night from a mile away.
